Dear Friends:
This is in response to Lisa's query about the type of epidural used. In
this study (Birth 26:2 June 1999 76-88) several different types of analgesia
were used: a combined sufentanil/bupivacaine, or a lidocaine 1.5% or
bupivacaine 0.25 %. The continuous epidural was maintained with bupivacaine
with either sufentanil or fentanyl. The comment is made in the study "The
infusions were adjusted in second stage to facilitate pushing."
    Warmly, Nikki Lee
