"...Herbalist Dr. Richard Schulze ... came to the conclusion that when
normal gut health is maintained, then every
single person will have one bowel movement for each meal of the day (3 for
adults, many more for infants)...." ..Jennifer Tow, IBCLC, CT, USA

Physiologically, one first starts by having faith in breastfeeding. Clearly
we were meant to be breastfed, so what is the pattern when babies are
breastfeeding well? That, by definition, would be normal. Second, you
would have to prove that infrequent stooling causes harm. Third, you'd have
to show that your intervention to increase the stools could be done as part
of the natural pattern of breastfeeding, itself causing no harm. This would
exclude giving anything else by mouth or inserting anything in the rectum.

Setting aside points one and two for the moment, I am curious as to how
stooling frequency can be increased in the breastfed baby without giving
anything by mouth or inserting anything in the rectum. Do you put them on
an exercise program? How successful is your intervention?
