In addition to the recent instructions regarding shipping breastmilk I'd
like to add a few suggestions:  ~ If mom cannot find dry ice it may be
helpful if she is able to well freeze the expressed milk before shipping.
Then of course wrap as mentioned in earlier posts.
~ Find out from the shipping company their last shipment out for that day.
Deliver the milk for overnight shipping as close to that time as is
reasonable.
~ Label the outside of the box *HUMAN MILK* & *PERISHABLE*.
~ When I shipped milk it was sent to a restaurant expecting the package.
Since there was always someone at the restaurant there was no possibility of
"missing" the delivery.  They immediately whisked it into a walk-in freezer.
Mom worked this arrangement out ahead of time, of course.  Other businesses
that may work this out could be any smaller neighborhood groceries, liquor
stores, florists, catering services, really anyone who would have the
freezer space.
