It's good that she's coming in to see you first.  If your assessment is
that all is okay, you can perhaps give her the confidence to decide whether
or not to follow the doc's advice.  And I don't know what kind of scales
your docs have, but I have learned to take the 2-week wt. check with a big
grain of salt.  At the hospital we have 4 digital scales that are
calibrated monthly (and are never more than a few grams off), the doctors
usually have balance scales that are never checked.  We have found when
doing back to back weights that it is not all that uncommon to have a 4-8
ounce difference, and have even found up to a pound difference!  So as far
as I'm concerned, unless you've got sequential weights on the same scale
(or a digital scale), it doesn't mean much.
