I have never heard of this either, though carpal tunnel syndrome is
common.  I think the point is that when you have a particular interest
in something, you see a lot of it.  So I see a lot of yeast infections
of the nipple and breast, whereas a lot of other physicians have never
heard of it. People who don't have thumb tendinitis don't go to a
physiotherapist to have it treated, whereas a large proportion of
those that do, do.
