I am also saddened at the death of Joy Noel-Weiss although I did not know
her personally. Her passing is a great loss to her family and friends as
well as to her colleagues and all the mothers she has helped.
In the past couple of years we have lost some of the most iconic pioneers of
childbirth education and breastfeeding counselling.  Although these
wonderful leaders have left a legacy and made such a difference to today`s
child-bearing generation, we have to make sure that this legacy continues
and that a new generation of counsellors are trained with the same idealism
and work ethic. Not just to pass exams!
