There was a 2017 meta-analysis done on nursing during pregnancy.
Among 6 studies in the meta-analysis, all of them found that more than 66% of mothers experienced a drop in milk supply, and 18% ceased breastmilk production completely.
Here is a link to the abstract: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28642112

Subject: Stats on pregnancy and nursing?

Hi all,

I have a mom who is asking about stats re: the proportion of moms who lose milk production during pregnancy. She's pregnant and has a 2 month old; very dedicated to nursing, and is panicking about potential supply loss. I know it's not a given either way, but she is wanting hard numbers.

Does such a stat exist?
