Dear Friends,

Last week I met with someone who is researching a book discussing the
technologies which have been adopted by humans and have changed our
relationships with our bodies. For example, sandals - as soon as humans
started wearing sandals they forever changed their relationship with the
earth.

Naturally, I couldn't resist asking if this author had considered the
impact of infant feeding bottles, and I now have an eager patron looking
for citations and references! Scholarly work is really what he is
seeking.

I have _Milk, Money, and Madness_ (Baumslag and Michels); _Breastfeeding
Matters_ (Minchin); and _The Politics of Breastfeeding_ (Palmer);
which each have something about the topic. I would welcome your
suggestions of additional sources I might recommend.

Please reply to me personally instead of or as well as to the list, as my
subscriber status seems to be in question and I'm not receiving
messages right now.

Many thanks,

Ruth
