Fellow Lactnetters:
The current conversation about abm (lower case, thank you), has been
interesting. I also would like to add my two bits. Have you noticed the
numerous ads for adult 'formula' in a can for 'balanced nutrition'. It must
be pretty popular stuff as it appears to be increasing in numbers of brands.
It is easy for people to feed their children canned food, processed food, if
they themselves would eat the same type of stuff. How can liquid chocolate
vitamins ever replace a delicious well balanced meal that is colorful and
close to its natural state? The mentality here seems to be saying, I'm too
busy to take care of priorities: which to me, is enjoying life with yummy
food, and feeling good because of a varied diet. Which goes on to say, I am
too busy to learn the art and science of breastfeeding so instead I will
feed my baby stinky stuff from a can. And those poor babies don't even get
chocolate flavors like their parents!
Liquid food from a can will never touch my lips!
