I keep them for "demos," too. I work with nursing students, health care
providers, office staff, etc. and it's helpful to show them that they come
in different sizes, if nothing else.

(though Im not one of them). We cannot generalize. I think most of us work
through our own learnign >and exsperience (so do the mothers). Ive seen
many text book IBCLC's and CLE who refuse to use any kind of bf aids just
because they learned they intefer with the natural >process.
Anyone else think that some of us are more gadget-comfortable than others?
Or at least more likely to use one that others? I'm not much of a gadgety
person in any part of my life, and also not in lactation. There are some
times, however, that the gadget just makes sense. I'm also very sensitive
to the new mother and baby who are already learning to be a bf couple.
Sometimes an aid is just what they need; sometimes it puts them over the
edge.
