The way we work is that if a baby is born after mid-day (12pm) then it is
considered day 0 and then after mid-night(12mn) it becomes day 1.Any baby
born from mid-night onwards is classified as day 1.

However,as i work in an NICU we look at the time the baby was born and judge
it in hours of age more often then day of age and this seems to work better
when considering just what a baby should be experiencing as regards
stool,jaundice and feeding.
