This is standard procedure at my hospital. Because so many of our moms
choose "breast and bottle", we haven't been able to track any effect of the
early Depo.

BTW: because of the study that says Depo has a negative effect on bone
density with long term use, our docs now prescribe calcium tablets along
with the Depo.
I take it as a 'knee jerk' prescription. I have been discouraged from
asking about studies to show this is effective or will actually counteract
the bone density effects.
