Hi Vicki,
I'm so glad to hear that Lachlan is OK. I hate to say it, but think
you might be on the right track with eliminating soy--I'll be very
curious to hear updates. You might check out the yahoo group
"foodlab": groups.yahoo.com/foodlab, which is dedicated to moms of
kids with various kinds of allergies. Commiseration, recipes, etc.
Ever since I found out my daughter is dairy intolerant I've been
eliminating a staple of my diet, which is tough!

One other thing you might try is using a convertible car seat rather
than a bucket. For my friend who's daughter had bad reflux, the more
upright position was MUCH better for her, even at a very young age
(less than four months, I think.) She's a Lactnetter too, I'm hoping
she'll post, since she has a lot of experience with reflux issues with
her now 14-month-old daughter.

The "wet farts" or "snarts" are another symptom of a food allergy. I
didn't realize this when Mari was young but now I have learned a LOT
more from hanging around moms of allergic babies both in person and
on-line.

In addition to almond milk, rice milk is yummy!!

They've been normal yellow ever since, with several "wet farts" each
day too), but definitely acting like too much gas in there. I like the
explanation of "lactose overload" in
http://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/bfinfo/lactose.html. My husband
suggested a few weeks ago that maybe he's "allergic" (is that the
right word?) to all my soy because of his sometimes extremely fussy,
gassy, inconsolable behavior, and I'd started getting curious too, so
to cover all my bases, I started eliminating soy today (very hard for
me since I don't eat dairy but do consume about a quart of soymilk a
day and some tofu every day, as well as some soy cheese/yogurt/sour
cream/cream cheese &/or ice cream daily, but I will use almond milk.
