Hi ALl,
Ellen talked about a mom with a lot of frozen breastmilk in her freezer that
she didn't want to waste. If it does turn out that she can't donate it to a
milk bank (and I agree, she probably will not be able to for reasons that
Ellen stated) why can't she feed it to her other child, herself, her family?
I have a client who has a terribly compromised immune system, and her 2.5 yr
old is constantly getting colds and ear infections. SHe also has a copious
supply and wondered wht to do with it. I suggested that she and the older
child drink it. Guess, what? She is feeling better (could also be because
she is taking herbs to help boost her immune system) but the older child
hasn't had a cold or ear infection in weeks, and he usually is fighting them
continually. SHe had been thinking about dropping her supply, but with the
added health benefits for her older child, she won't evem consider it now!
(Hubby likes it in his coffee too. He doesn't need as much sugar!!)
Anyway, just a thought!
Jay
