Re: Reglan for mom attempting to relactate after 3 months of not BFing:

I'm not actually certain about this, but I'm not sure that the Reglan will
do the job after this amount of time not nsg. Does she still leak milk at
all, or has she been able to pump any? My hunch is that if she's still
making milk, it might help, but that if her body has "moved on" it might not
be so simple. (Might be more like the situations where other hormonal
preparation is needed.) She *is* using an SNS, isn't she? I would think that
using that for every feeding (and increasing fdg. frequency if baby will
cooperate) would be better than pumping, and that if baby is nsg. frequently
(q 3-4 hrs @ 5 mo.???), it might be hard to sneak pumpings in between fdgs.
Maybe counterproductive too.

I'll be curious to see what the wisdom is on this one from others who know
more than I do.
