I am behind on Lactnet digests, so if someone else has suggested this, I
apologize for being repetitive.  The term I believe we should be using is
"untimely weaning."  I believe I am taking this term directly from LLL (and I am sorry
I don't know who exactly coined that term).  I think it is the most
appropriate word to be used in documentation and in discussions with mothers.

Failure has a bad connotation because we live in such a competitive society.
Yet I would suggest that failure and success are strongly intertwined and are
not separate situations.  Thomas Edison, a brilliant successful inventor,
said that he had 1000 failures to achieve one success.  Failure is nothing to be
ashamed of or afraid of...it is just a process to success.  It is too bad we
cannot convince people of this process.  It is very self-liberating.  Valerie
