Nursing Mothers, Inc. (not-for-profit breastfeeding support org based in
DE) puts together gift bags for new moms. We give them to 3 hospitals (MD,
PA, & DE) and a birth center (DE). The little plastic bag contains a free
sample of Lansinoh breast pads (which are donated to NMI), a pen w/ our
logo & phone #'s/website, a bookmark w/ our contact info, and a referral
form to be filled out and mailed/faxed to us or given to the hospital
staff to be sent to us. We also have a beautiful pamphlet that we designed
to be given out at various breastfeeding classes and PR events. We fund
the gift bags and pamphlets with a yearly fundraiser called, our spring
Parenting Conference, a day of workshops put on by various speakers which
is attended by all sorts of community members.

Some nurses "forget" to give out our bags, but somehow the formula bags
seem to always make it out of the storage closet...
