Barbara Whitehead's message raised a number of points. However, I'll stick to one. If the hospital is working towards Baby-Friendly accreditation, the administration should be mindful that an eleventh (11th) condition is attached to the Ten Steps for the BFHI. This is that the institution is not accepting free or low-cost supplies of artificial baby milks (ABMs). If the company sales person felt free to set up that display in that hospital, I think it might be timely to (a) check out whether free/low-cost supplies of ABMs are coming in and (b) recommend effective protocols for preventing a recurrence of the company rep's action, by that company or any company.
       Cheers,
