Catherine and all, I know we have talked about heat vs cold ALOT but this
post made me start thinking again about my clinical practice.

I would like to know what clinical practices Lactneters are currently
recomending in terms of hot and cold RX's for mastitis and engorgement. I
know personally I am moving away from heat for inflammation, be it
inflamation from engorgement or mastitis. I see many mothers using heat on
engorged breasts and often on masititis and I think they they might be
exacerbating their problems. I do realize that many moms find great comfort
in heat but I am concerned.
