I haven't followed this thread that well, so this might not apply, but I wondered if it might possibly be similar to the case with my first child, where the baby's activity level may have increased enough to have a significant effect on weight gain. Stephen's early weight gain was tremendous, taking him from about 55th percentile to 90th, in the first two months. He was a little pudge, until he was four months old, at which time he learned to belly crawl, and there was no stopping him. He was rarely still again. He kept eating well, but his weight really leveled off to where, two months later, he had only gained a couple ounces, although he had grown a couple inches taller. He's 21 now, and has been quite slim his whole life. Our pediatrician, who was a very tiny man, did not feel that having his weight gain slow down that much was of concern, but I would bet that the majority of peds would have had something to say about it.
