Hi all,
Something I used to do in mixed classes (want to bf, and those who don't
particularly) was hold up a poster. 4 columns. Only the titles show - the
actual info in columns covered. First column: Advantages of Breastfeeding to
Baby (below listing the great number of advantages- dramatically uncover the
list), Second column - Advantages of Bfg to Mother (below the title, have
written in already the numerous advantages of bfg to mom, uncover
dramatically, Third column - Disadvantages of Bfg to Mom - list the only one
or two I could think of........1. being someone else cannot feed the
baby.....
and the last column Disadvantages of bfg for Baby - tada.........uncover a
blank column.
Or one could do it with writing in Advantages of Formula for mom - i.e.
someone else can help with feeding, and the Advantages of Formula for Baby -
lucky baby that it exists if mom has decided to deprive him of all the
advantages...............No, I did not write that in. If I recall, I just
wrote in that it is a lesser food for moms who decide not to breastfeed.
Made quite an impact.

The reason I can't remember is because I don't do those groups anymore, I do
a monthly group entitled "Preparing for Breastfeeding and the Baby's first
week of life" to which I get ONLY parents who want to breastfeed. I am
happier with this! and needless to say, it is less controversial.
After 20 years, I can pick and choose!!
