"My belief is that Cesarean birth is fundamentally superior for mothers and
babies," says Walters, an Ob/Gyn in Mount Vernon, Ill. "The maternal
mortality rate in the United States would go down and so would long-term
morbidity in terms of injury to the pelvic floor, specifically bladder
prolapse, stressed urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and uterine
prolapse -- for all of which, vaginal birth is the number one risk factor."
Dear Friends:
How can people fall for such crap?
Postsurgical complications (infection, hemorrhage, wound dehiscence,
blood clots etc.) impede the progression of the mother-infant relationship, not to
mention the negative impact on breastfeeding. What about all the impact on
babies of not going through labor? More GI and respiratory problems and
iatrogenic prematurity. What about the chances of poor placental implantation for the
next baby and and the greater risk of death with the second baby?
    What are we coming to?
I want to see sperm removed surgically; probably be safer for to avoid
all that congestion and traffic in the vas deferens. And avoid all that mess and
unpredictability of spontaneous conception.
