I hope that someone either has the information or knows what direction to
point me in.

I had a mom that is getting grief from her pediatrician about her "still"
nursing her 18 month old that is causing the child to be on the petite side.
Pediatrician says that the toddler should be consuming 24 oz of whole cows
milk. Child does not like cows milk , nurses several times during the day. I
explained to the mom about nursing is taking the place of not drinking the
cows milk and that one does not need to drink "fluid" milk but can make up for
the calcium by eating calcium rich foods (gave her some suggestions here).

What this mom is looking for is a comparison of the fat, calories and calcium
content of breastmilk as compared to cows milk so she can bring this to her
pediatrician and get him off her back.

I have seen the little girl, she looks healthy !!!! Has reached developmental
milestones and if you look at mom and dad they are very "thin" people.

Thanks,
Chris
