Philip et al. -- OK, I admit it. I overreacted a bit. I'm sorry. I could
use as an excuse that both my girls were screamers yesterday, and I ended up
doing my friend a favor by watching her 11 m/o too, but so how does that make
me different from any other mom? *grin* I guess the real issue, once again,
is recognizing that absolutes about virtually any topic don't generally help
(even "breast is best" as evidenced by the post on true lactose intolerance).
I'm terrible at remembering names, but I think one of the keys to any of
these issues (pods, dads feeding, etc) is, as someone else said, "ask 13
questions before giving advice." Strong opinions are important and useful,
as long as they don't get in the way of another good quote "minds are like
parachutes; they function best when fully open."

Hugs and thanks to all for putting up w/ your grouchy Oregonian colleague!

ps. In the past 3 weeks, I've BF my 3 m/o, my sil's newborn twins, and my
friend's 11 m/o. What different experiences, and what a joy to be able to do
this!
