I have been thinking about posting similar concerns for a while.
After I or someone else gives help to a mom, we tell her to call back if
the suggestions don't work..
Not only does she not call back but she calls every other LLL leader in
the area as if we'll all have different info.
It doesn't seem to matter if I say that I'll refer her to an LC if she
is interested either. She just doesn't call back. Then next thing I
know she has quit...
The way I can tell she has already spoken to other Leaders and LC's is
her boredom as we talk and then I usually say "it sounds like you've
already spoken to some other people".
I recently asked why to one gal and she said the other people weren't
home...
I also know this phenomenon isn't because I'm not a good helper
because I've gotten calls from across the country from people refering
me to their friends cause they thought I was so helpful... My
co-leaders are also thoughtful, patient, caring, thorough, excellent bf
helpers too. So why the bf helper hopping?
I wonder if women don't feel they can tell the leader or LC that
something isn't working?
MOST OF THE TIME I think I'm helping people that already got help
elsewhere.
