I just realized I made a huge mistake. Last night when I saw this video, it was
playing a description of a baby latching in the backround, so I am watching
the video, watching the baby latch, with his big smiles, and I thought it was
the cutest thing, although I did not understand the video name itself. Now
reading this, I am at work and saw the video again, but the words describing
latch are not there and I just realized what happened. When I turned the
volume up last night to hear the video, I did not remember that earlier I had
opened up one of Jack Newman's video clips describing latch to send to
someone on a mother's forum, so this clip was minimized on my comp. It must
have been playing continuously bc once the volume went up, and I heard the
man describing baby's latch, I thought it was the video I was watching. I now
realize that I was watching the video, while listening to Jack Newman describe
a latch. So yes, this video in the context you guys saw it was a disgusting
and unrealistic portrayal of breastfeeding. If it was playing along w/
breastfeeding instructions, like how I saw it, it was pretty sweet seeing that
baby and his mama interact.
Sorry if I offended anyone by posting. I was truly oblivious to what it really
was.
Heather
