A local hospital has opened a storefront in a mall nearby for health
information. They do blood pressure and cholesterol checks, will have
mammography equiptment, have pamphlets, videos (to view there), and
references on many different health concerns. They sponsor a
mall-walkers group and day & evening lectures on various topics of
interest. At this time, all they have for mat-child health are a few
March of Dimes pamphlets on prenatal nutrition. But they are willing to
get what ever would be good on breastfeeding! They are staffed by RN's
(adult med-surg I think) and do have a baby scale. (If there are babies
weighed, they need info on infant nutrition!) What would you suggest
that I suggest they buy? The Answer Book? What video(s)? What
pamphlets? Perhaps a notebook with some choice article reprints? Please
email your suggestions to me directly as I am really behind on Lactnet
digests. Thank you for your suggestions!
