Just finished searching the archives for info on breastmilk storage
containers, and still didn't find what I'm looking for. Could those of you
working in hospitals let me know what kind of containers you use to store
breastmilk? One formula company has volufeeders available, however are they
sterile? Do ebm storage containers need to be sterile or just clean? If
you use the volufeeders, what do you do for caps? Do you autoclave caps
from used water bottles? We have a level II nursery, and rarely store milk
longer than 14 days. However, some moms are pumping 5-6 oz. by the 5th day.
I have used bottles that previously came with abm, and dumped it out and
washed them first, but that kind of gives me the creeps! It would be great
if there were some references I could use when writing the policy- anything
published in JHL?

I went to the websites for several milk banks, but couldn't find anything
out about containers there, either. Thanks in advance for your help!
