You all are so knowledgeable about helping moms with persistent
yeast, I was hoping any of you physician or midwife types could help me
out. I am jumping out of my skin with persistent vaginal yeast. I am 32
weeks gestation expecting our third child and I have had vaginal yeast
throughout this whole pregnancy. I am concerned about ending up with
thrush once the baby is born. My midwives say take acidophilus and watch
your diet. (I had borderline gestational diabetes with number 2.) I am
keeping track of my blood sugars and they range from 70's to 100's before
and after meals. I get relief for about two weeks with an OTC treatment
which I have been varying, hoping to get rid of whatever is resistant. I
was cautioned against diflucan due to possible teratogenic effects. My
hubby is a physician and can write me a script. Can somebody recommend a
treatment that will cure this once and for all? How much and how long? I
hope you don't tell me to paint my rear purple, but I am pretty desperate
anyway!

Thanks!
Kathy G.
