I have posted several times about my sister's short exp with bf. She had
sore nipples with the worst one having a "hole" in the center of the nipple
tip. We did the moist wound with the saline soaks. I was under the
impression from my nursing background that the soaks would promote healing
from within the injured space instead of scab formation and healing downward
with longer healing times etc.. Please those that were recommending this on
old posts refute the newer post that go against soaks. I am confused. We
don't do alot of this in hospital for moms that are there 24-48hrs.
Back to the dimple, now 2 mos after quitting she mentioned the way her
nipple looks really " weird". I saw it yesterday and it looks now like a
dimpled nipple. Was everted prior to pregnancy. Breast went from size 34
B/C cup to 40DD during preg. Could scarring from damage dimple? Could
dimple have developed prior to pregnancy and this area led to the "hole"
during nursing? I usually don't ask if nipple has changed during pregnancy.
Possible rapid growth with slow to buy bigger bra led to dimple?
Any simliar experiences?
Thanks in advance,
Evonne
