Hi, My daughter gave birth 10 days ago, in a birth center. It was a
wonderful birth, without medications ,lots of skin to skin, no separation,
no artificial nipples. etc. etc. The problem is that this little guy does
not want to open wide or keep his tongue out, thus he does not stay
latched. I'm amazed at my daughters patience! He sometimes works at it for
2 hours. When he finally latches he sucks and swallows well. He is
stooling/wetting well. Its just so much work. I have tried all the things I
would try with a client, to no avail!
Should I seek out another professional? give it more time? cranial sacral?
