Lots of women in the US use Domperidone legally...my understanding is that
it is just not legal for it to be sold in the retail market so people can
import for personal use.
Re: protocols. It is completely possible to use no drugs and in fact when I
did a review of the literature some years ago the studies where women were
most successful in milk production were those where less rather than more
drugs were used....now that's not to say that drugs can't be helpful but
that cultural factors are more important so if the mother can keep her baby
close and breastfeed very frequently she will maximise her milk production.
