I only have personal information to share - I suffer form Raynauds and it has caused me issues with my last two pregnancies (in summertime - #3 was late July and our average summer temp is around 110 - 120*; fourth baby was late May but we'd had over 100* temps already).  I find that my symptoms are relieved by nursing (warmth of baby's mouth perhaps) and I hurt all the time otherwise.  I found that the only thing that helps was putting a heating pad on my breasts for a few minutes.   Not fun in the middle of summer but the pain was excruciating.  It went away after I gave birth... until the winter time and then it reared its ugly head again but since I was no longer PG I could take the nifedipine.  Hope that helps.  It's miserable and I feel for this mother suffering such pain.
