But surely stools and urine, like weight, are  only two parts of the jigsaw
that makes up the  picture of health?

Also, I think it's going to be hard to establish 'acceptable' sizes of
stools and volumes of urine  and how these sizes and volumes change
according to the age of the baby.....how can you *tell* with today's
disposables and super-absorbables?

Here, the guidance is even more vague - we ask for 'plenty' of wet and
dirty nappies!!!
