Pam, in the October Family Circle, the subject was a mother with closely spaced
children.  As stated her 9 mo old was still nursing and mother wanted to
continue.  Dr. B's stated that it was sad that she must wean in order to ensure
adequate nutrition for developing fetus.  the one positive note was that he
recommended letting the older child nurse after birth if she expressed an
interest (but he commented that she would not continue).  I sent a letter on
that one, and will be sure to email them again this time!  Dr. B says he is so
supportive of breastfeeding but I find he routinely gives this type of advice.
