I, too, have heard over and over, "the baby nurses so happily at
night", "my milk supply is better at night", etc.  I don't know if
let-down is different, but I surmise that nursing is easier for some
babies because the supply is building (after the evening's lower
level) and now there are more "easy swallows". Not research-based,
just anecdotal. I've read the posts out of order, but someone else's
post about "finally mom is lying still and baby can enjoy a leisurely
nursing..."---I'll bet there's alot of truth there!
