One of my daughters sustained a facture of her right clavicle during her passage from my womb to my arms.  She weighed about 4.5 kilos, - uncomplicated, unmedicated birth.
There was no trouble at all with breastfeeding.  She indicated if the way I held her was painful, and I adjusted things accordingly.  She did not like to lie on her side, which was the usual way babies were put in bed at the time.  She also seemed uncomfortable on her back.  She slept well on her tummy (prone) - not recommended today from cot death research.

A calculus formed around the fracture and it was stable within a week or so I think.  The paed tried a special harness, and bandages, but we dispensed with them in about 5 minutes.  By 6 weeks it was pretty well healed.  She has never had any subsequent problems.
