I have a mom who is trying to relactate and mostly pumping at this point.
She is experiencing pain under her R areola that feels like "cut glass in
there" but only gets this after, not during, pumping/nursing.  She says she
had this while nursing (it's been 3 months) and they suspected thrush, but
it didn't respond to any meds.  Any clue what this could be? Could it be
thrush? Something else?  It has only resurfaced since starting to
pump/nurse again.  She also happens to have a bleeding nipple, same one she
had when she quit nursing 3 months ago, and same side as this cut glass
pain.  Could this be related? She has only nursed her baby for a few
minutes, he isn't really getting anything at this point and it has only
been 3 days of trying to relactate.   Thanks for any info.
