I am in need of specific information and references. Am working with a
public health group attempting to measure health/illhess/death rates and
infant feeding method. We are also attempting to improve breastfeeding
rates. The question for the study project is: how many feeds (doses) of
breastmilk per 24 hours would be necessary to have a measurable impact
on health/illness rates. 2, 4,6, total? is one feed enough to make a
difference? I know there are many, many variables to consider and to
pick just an arbitrary number of feeds may not be useful...but I thought
you might give us some guidance. Many thanks, Anne Andrianos
