Hello everyone,
I'm an infrequent poster who could use some help. As an LC in an NICU,
I'm being asked for "data" to prove that there is (or isn't) a
difference in duration between breastfeeding mothers and mothes who (not
by choice) pump and bottle.
The length of stay patrol would like to see more breastfeeding babies
bottling earlier in an attempt to get them home sooner. If there are
any studies that show that the babies that then do not go on to
breastfeed will get breastmilk for a shorter duration than their
breastfeeding peers, it may help.
Thank you,
Grace Doolittle, RNC, IBCLC
