What all this discussion on HIV and breastfeeding makes me think is that
sometimes not telling the truth about our decisions to anyone who could make
life difficult for us, like health care professionals, might be a good idea.
I have often debated on this regarding vaccines and my own children. I mean,
this argument Oregon is making, couldn't the same argument be made to force
people to vaccinate, that they think it is child abuse not to?

i feel so bad for this family. The agony must be awful. Though, i must say,
since noone is supervising them 24 hours/day what is stopping them from
nursing the baby? Would it be a dead give away if she did nurse and the baby
showed signs of wanting to nurse when the state officials were around?
