I went to the site and links are working now. The style of the author
is, indeed, very alarmist and clearly biased. There are numerous
abstracts for studies about soy and cancer cells, including breast. Most
of them are in vitro/animal (mice) studies but there is an interesting
small study (n=24) - Stimulatory influence of soy protein isolate on
breast secretion in pre- and postmenopausal women.

The study population was non-Asian women. "We evaluated the influence of
the long-term ingestion of a commercial soy protein isolate on breast
secretory activity. We hypothesized that the features of nipple aspirate
fluid (NAF) of non-Asian women would be altered so as to resemble those
previously found in Asian women...The findings did not support our a
priori hypothesis. Instead, this pilot study indicates that prolonged
consumption of soy protein isolate has a stimulatory effect on the
premenopausal female breast, characterized by increased secretion of
breast fluid, the appearance of hyperplastic epithelial cells, and
elevated levels of plasma estradiol. These findings are suggestive of
an estrogenic stimulus from the isoflavones genistein and daidzein
contained in soy protein isolate."

There may be numerous articles with different findings that were not
presented at this site. Studies from other areas on the site, including
"fertility" are primarily animal studies.
However, one interesting page on "Your baby" at
http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz/baby.htm does make clear that 'breast
is best, everything else is greatly inferior.' There are several
abstracts on human studies (small) and a news alert from the New Zealand
Herald entitled "Government issues soy milk warning" based on a media
release from the Ministry of Health on December 18, 1998.

Anyway, it's worth checking out.
Joan
