Something about the story of a strange woman grabbing babies and
breastfeeding them is off to me.

Think about this. UNLESS all those babies grabbed are nursing babies, how
many bottle-feeders would have a clue what to do?

AND if a breastfed baby, how many would happily nurse from any old woman
NOT their mother? Way back in the dark ages, I tried to nurse a 5 mo old.
He would have NOTHING to do with me. A 3 mo old did nurse, but he also
would nurse anyone at 18 mo old, too. (Any port in a storm, I guess)

Most babies have a decided preference for one breast (or two) from one
particular person, not any old breast (or new).

I find this story VERY HARD to swallow--pun intended. :-)

Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
