Hi all,

I was minding my own business sitting under a hair dryer at a beauty shop, thumbing through a magazine called "New Woman." A photo of a woman in a bra with the heading "natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery" caught my eye. "Beautiful contoured breasts and provocative nipples are shaping fashion. This greater emphasis on breasts can have a profound impact on a woman's self-confidence and her approach to life if she is one of us with flat or inverted nipples."

No kidding - that's the exact text in the ad for the Avent Niplette. Oh yeah, the last line adds "Experience the bonding of breastfeeding." Only $100, according to the ad with its toll-free number. Gag.

No wonder we have problems with "what breasts are for" in our culture. ARRGGHHH!.
