What an ordeal to go thru! Some things she could do:
as much kangaroo care as possible (the baby is a month old and gaining well
- what is the status, can they room in even for a day or so here and there?)
if possible have a care plan mtg with key caregivers. see if they can come
up with a good plan where the kang care is prescribed. see if there is a
little room where mom can come and stay with baby if at all possible.
get the very best pump, IMO the Medela Classic or the Ameda/Hollister one
that is comparable (the Elite?) also she could try the new softer flanges.
this may sound counterproductive, but try pumping freq during day but taking
longer stretches at nite, for example a 6 hr sleep.
fenugreek plus blessed thistle
domperidone
de-stress as much as possible
