This is a major hot button for me. As a feminist, I hear this said
frequently.

Feminism is not about turning us into men, it is about giving us options. If
we want to join the workforce, our gender should not be counted against us;
if we want to stay home, our choice should be respected.

(As far as I'm concerned, the major accomplishment of feminism has not been
gaining a right to the workforce, it is the fact that we now have men who do
dishes.)

As feminists, if we believe that women should return to the workforce, we
have done more damage than good. It is only when our domestic contributions
are counted as actual contributions that we will truly have choices.
