Lactnetters,
 I am beginning to do some research on the issue of breastfeeding as a
public health concern. Does anyone in the public health area have any
referneces on:
  1. how do we define a public health issue?
  2. ARe there any studies or surveys that report what Americans (and other
countries as well if it's avaialble) view as important public health
issues? My hunch is that breastfeeding is not up there on the list and
I'm trying to figure out why and what we can do about it.
