This explains the story my Grandmother used to tell....
My dad and uncle, being boys, were allowed and yes probably even
encouraged to play outside.They spent much of their time digging around
in the yard. They had a female cousin, however, whose mother followed
her around "washing" her up anytime she touched anything....She had
ringworm 23 times one year, My dad and uncle have NEVER contracted it!
