To those who have replied to me both publicly and privately, and those
who have contributed their ideas to the thread on photographs and the
exam, Thank you.

Lactnet is a wonderful resource for advice, information and support. I
have learnt much that has expanded my knowledge, read posts that have
forced me to consider new opinions and reconsider old ones. As Jan
mentioned, it has been an important part of my links to the 'outside
world'. It is easy to become insular when you live on an island.

The warmth, reassurance and support evident in posts to me,
particularly privately, has reinforced my belief that the caring
evident in this profession extends to its new members. I know that
many who are taking the exam are concerned, as I am, as to whether we
have covered 'all the bases'. Thanks for the gentle reminders that it
is an entry level exam, and that our practical and theoretical
experience, a sensible attitude and careful reading of the questions
will ensure the best results.

warmly,
Querida David
