I think every med mag I've read lately has featured a "garbage" article on a
recent study of how poor moms with fibromyalgia can't nurse because it takes
so much energy and they are tired :-( Of course, shopping, making and
feeding formula isn't tiring at all. Years ago (too many, before they named
fibromyalgia) I nursed 2 babies through fibro. It was such a nice excuse to
lay down, I had to feed the baby and being horizontal helped :-)

Today, I regularily go for massage. I don't think anyone has ever found any
meds that really help for fibro :-( An article in an on-line nursing
journal said today that massage is most help for pain, second only to pain
meds for relief. I don't know if anyone can access it, but it is
http://www.nursingworld.org/news/ananews.htm#massage

I also object to how so many in medical profession immediately recommend the
newest drug out for whatever illness you may have. Personally, I'd rather
wait awhile and stick with older meds and see what happens with a new med
(like Vioxx for instance :-) I will confess that I did try celebrex when it
first came out for my fibro and osteoarthritis. It was great for a while
and then just stopped working. Go figure... Pat in SNJ
